RIDGE SPRINGS, S.C. – George Edward Smith, 67, formerly of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Ellis and Daisy Smith and was retired from Harrison Poultry as a mechanic. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Georgette Salters, Monetta, S.C.; brothers, Johnny Smith, Nicholson, and William Wilder, Winder.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Norris officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, June 20, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
