COMMERCE – Sandra J. Ennis, 63, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.

Born in Montgomery County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ben Kowalsky of Florida and the late Alberta Rounds. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Ennis was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Kowalsky.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula June Turpin, Maysville; sons, Elmer Eugene Prince III, Dunwoody, Daniel Boye Prince, Monroe, and Steven John Ennis, Commerce; brothers, Christopher Kowalsky and Danny Kowalsky.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the home of Paula Turpin, 1431 W. Ridgeway Rd., Maysville, GA on Sunday, June 21, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to all her family, may God give you strength & your memories comfort you.
My friend I never got to meet you face to face but got to know you well over the years. We shared so many things in our emails & phone conversations. You have crossed into the next life where all is beautiful and peaceful. I & many others will miss you!!
We shall one day meet!

Sue...I'm giving this a shot. What happened? I subscribed to RE for a long time and had recently not subscribed. I did try and access the website and found it had expired. Thanks for any info. Debi

Yes I was very sad to see that Sandy passed away.. I was a member of RE for many many yrs...My prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to all who knew and loved her. RIP Sandy.. we will miss you..

I never met Sandy in person, but thru many years in RE we grew to think of her and her family as precious friends.
She was an amazing Lady with a heart of pure gold!
We will all miss you Sandy, Rest In Peace.

I hadn't gotten RE for many years so I was shocked to hear of Sandy's demise. I was surprised there was no mention of husband Johnny in the obit. Last I knew her mother was still alive,so she must have died in the last 5 years.I'll miss her articles
