Mary Nell Segraves

COMMERCE – Mary Nell Segraves, 86, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Neri and Rosa Benton Bird. Mrs. Segraves was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Segraves.

Survivors include cousins, Elson and Judy Ingram, Tucker, and Reggie Lee and Annie Ingram, Mocksville, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 2 p.m., at Rogers Baptist church with the Rev. Carlton Peters officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, June 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. He will lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
