David Bridges, 37, of Royston, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C.
He was born September 1, 1970, in Franklin County, the son of Frank Bridges of Moultrie and Jane and Reese Higgins of Royston. He was a roofer in the construction industry and was Baptist. Mr. Bridges was a veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include brothers, Jeff Bridges, Moultrie, Steve Bridges, Vanna, Mike Bridges, Carnesville, and Jimmy Bridges, Valdosta; and sisters, Julie Hill, Vanna, and Tonya Wilson, Sylvester.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Dan Bailey and Ben Walker officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to defray funeral expenses.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
