ATHENS – Michael Douglas Jones, 47, died Sunday, June 14, 2009.
Born in Wayne County, Mich., he was the son of Billy Douglas and Judy Fay Loftis Jones of Union, Ohio. He was a minister.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Donna Lynn Jones, Athens; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Dawn Jones, Charlotte, N.C., and Jody and Tanya Jones, Inglewood, Ohio; and a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Jack Kujawa, Commerce.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 18, at 7 p.m., at The Church at Southside with the Revs. Jeff Williams and Doug Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church at Southside, 100 Crooked Creek Rd., Athens, GA 30607.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
