COLBERT – Lois Jane Looney, 48, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at her residence.

Born in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Fannie Mae Looney. She was a machine operator at Peterson Springs.

Survivors include a son, JR Looney, Colbert; daughters, Angela Bentley, Colbert, Julie Folger, Fayetteville, N.C.; brothers, Jackie Looney, Danielsville, Johnny Looney, Winterville; grandchildren, Hailey Folger, Tristan Folger, Jade McDaniel and Dylan McDaniel.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sonlight Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billie Kittle, Steve McDonald, Mathew Cowart, David Looney, Tim Smith, and Joey Hayden.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
