TALMO – Charlie Marshall Mercer Sr., 59, died Wednesday, June 10, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Born in Duplin County, N.C., he was the son of the late Lloyd Mercer and Eula Mae Brock Weston. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include a son, Charlie Marshall Mercer Jr., Talmo; daughter and son-in-law, Paige Mercer and John D. Stone, Norcross; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin Jasper and Zara Mercer, Pink Hill, N.C., and Ronald Melvin and JoAnn Mercer, Beulaville, N.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Sensenig, Gettysburg, Pa., Brunhilda Catherine and Larry Sullivan, Mt. Olive, N.C., Elizabeth Karen and Vance Hill, Deep Run, N.C., Seiglinda Carolyn Lofton, LaGrange, N.C., and Doris Charlene and Nicky Woods, Kinston, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 14, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
