STATHAM – Dot Roberts, 87, died Saturday, June 13, 2009.
Born in Oconee County, Bogart, she was a daughter of the late S.C. and Estee Dial Edwards, and was a member of Bogart Christian Church. She started working at H & H Manufacturing before going to work at the University of Georgia, where she worked in the bookstore until she retired. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, James C. “Jim” Roberts.
Survivors include a son, Larry Roberts, Snellville; grandchildren, Jamie Roberts, Denise Holden and Delores Maxwell; great-grandchildren, Ethan Roberts, Owen Roberts, Tara Maxwell, Caleb Maxwell and Braxton Holden; and a brother-in-law, Grant Satterfield.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Hoyt Huff officiating. Burial will be in Evergeen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, June 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
