Joseph Williams

Joseph David Williams Jr., 65, of Winder, died Saturday, June 21, 2008.

Born in Barrow County, he was the son of the late Joseph David Williams Sr. and Julia Doster Williams. He was a member of Winder First Baptist Church, former member of Winder Kiwanis Club, and was a retired Lt. Colonel in the Air National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Georgina Williams; a daughter, Amy Melissa Williams; step-daughter, Lorena; and a grandchild, Brooklynn Duncan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 26, at 6 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Lester Hall officiating. The body was cremated. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 26, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
