Jan Skinner

WINDER – Jan Skinner, 33, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

Born in DeKalb County, she was the daughter of J.C. and Jean Grizzle of Snellville. She was a member of Auburn Park Baptist Church, a graduate of Georgia State with a BSN, and was employed as an RN at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Survivors in addition to her parents, include her husband, Jarrod Skinner, Winder; a grandmother, Clara Watts, Snellville; mother and father-in-law, Phil and Debra Skinner, Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Lisa Minter, Snellville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Jack Heany, Maysville, and Sherrie and Billy Owens, Commerce, Heather Grizzle, Snellville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 12, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, June 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
