Marshall Bowen

WINDER - Marshall Blake Bowen, 31, died Monday, June 8, 2009.

He had resided in Barrow County for all of his life, and was the son of John Bowen of Winder and the late Martha Wilson Bowen. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Bowen Ruppel. A member of the Winder First United Methodist Church, he was a 1995 graduate of Winder-Barrow High School. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #700 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Mr. Bowen was employed by Diversified Cabinet Distributors.

Survivors in addition to his father, include a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Antonakos, Cumming; and niece, Martha McKenzie “Marty” Antonakos.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, at 11 a.m., from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Tippens officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 9, at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
