BOGART – Lowell Albert Muse, 80, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
Born in Killen, Ala., on June 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Albert Lester and Irma Ethel Compton Muse. He served in the Naval Reserves and was called to active duty during the Korean War, and was employed at TVA for several years after his discharge. Mr. Muse was preceded in death by a sister, Beth Clemmons.
Survivors include wife, Edna Mae Muse; daughter and son-in-law, Judy Muse and Jim Battey, Conyers; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Lee Ann Muse, Otto, N.C.; stepchildren and spouses, Jackie and Curtis Cox, Glouchester, Va., Diane White and John Hasenauer, Jefferson; sisters and brother-in-law, Nelda Jean and Jim Thigpen, Brentwood, Tenn., Mary Alice Colburn, Muscle Shoals, Ala., Brenda and Aric Baham, Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Monday, June 8, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
