AUBURN – Grady Lovin, 89, died Sunday, June 7, 2009.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of the late Robert Early and Pearl Ann Hull Lovin. He was a member of the Winder First United Methodist Church, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed raising cattle and farming, loved ones stated. Mr. Lovin was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Moore Lovin; a son, Phillip Grady Lovin; brothers, Leearnel, Otis and Carson Lovin; and sisters, Pauline Stanley and Grace Ridgeway.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Lovin; a son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Carol Lovin, Auburn; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Joe Thomas, Lilburn; grandchildren, Travis and Lisa Lovin, Leah and Allen Johnson, Robert and Laura Thomas; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Treadwell, Conyers, and Geneva Perkins, Statham.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, at 11 a.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Mac Palmer officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m., in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 9, from 5 to 9 p.m.
