GAINESVILLE – Doris Randolph Branch, 81, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following a sudden illness.
Born on April 15, 1928, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Pace Randolph. She was retired from Con-Agra Poultry and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Mrs. Branch was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Branch Sr.; and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Survivors include daughters, Marcelle Branch, Bethlehem, Gail Branch, Gainesville, and Lollie Hollis, Lithonia; a son, J.C. Branch Jr., Jonesboro; granddaughters, Terica Branch, Suwanee, Aschara Hollis and Alexis Hollis, both of Lithonia; sisters, Louise Randolph and Inez Leverette, both of Gainesville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 9, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Revs. Scotty Randolph, Jimmy Randolph and Adrian Niles officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 7, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of food, the family has requested that flowers be sent.
