Lucius Eugene Moon, 74, of Comer, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
He was born in Elbert County, the son of the late Rannie Roy and Fannie Lee Medlock Moon and was Baptist. He was preceded in death by brothers, Melvin and Harry Moon; and sisters, Frances Moon, Peggy Roberts, Aurice Baugh and Doris Martin. Mr. Moon was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include daughters, Sara Autry, Mary Autry, Bobbie Goss and Emma Bowers, all of Danielsville; sons, Leon Moon, Augusta, and Wayne Moon, Royston; brothers, Donald Moon, Carlton, and Clayton Moon, Byron; sister, Glenda Seigler, Comer; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 17, at Moon’s Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
