ATHENS – Mary Thomas Johnson, 70, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009.
Born on December 17, 1938, in Texas, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Lambright. She graduated from Elbert County High School, and was a cashier at the Home Depot in Athens. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Johnson.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Scott and Janet Johnson, Jefferson, Keith Senkbeil, Hartwell; brother, Dennis Lambright, Crawford; stepbrother, Kenneth Lambright, Ekins, Ark.; grandchildren, Alexis Johnson, Robby and Randy Senkbeil.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. The body will be cremated after the service.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
