David Greenhaw

WATKINSVILLE – David Michael Greenhaw, Jr., 26, died Sunday, May 31, 2009.

A native of Athens, he was the son of Mike and Glenda Harper Greenhaw of Watkinsville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond Glenn and Lucia Johnson Harper, and was a member of the Athens First United Methodist Church. He was a staff member of Harry’s Pig Shop.

Survivors in addition to his parents, include paternal grandparents, Harvey Lewis and Mary Jones Greenhaw, Watkinsville; sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Richard Stowe, Comer; nieces, Shelly Bridger, Alpharetta, Kira Wright, Amber Stowe and Sylvia Stowe, all of Comer; and fiancé, Jenny Hicks, Crawford.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 3, at 2 p.m., at the Athens First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Chuck Hodges and Grady Wigley officiating. The family will receive friends before and after the service from 1 to 2 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. in the John Wesley Parlor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Athens First United Methodist Church, Outreach Ministry, 327 N. Lumpkin St., Athens, GA 30601.

Cremation Society of the South, Marietta, is in charge of arrangements.
