STATHAM - Joshua “Josh” Gene Whiten, 17, died Saturday, May 30, 2009.
He was the son of Lisa Denise Long and stepfather, Carl Long III, both of Statham.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include sisters, Nikki Fleeman and Jessica Whiten, both of Statham, Amber Esco, Winder; twin brother, Jacob Charles Whiten, Statham; brother, Adam Cody Whiten, Statham; grandparents, Cynthia Joy and Charles Fleeman, Winder, Betty and James Hardigree, Statham.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, at 2 p.m., at the Winder Apostolic Church of The Lord Jesus Christ with Pastor Tommy Baker and Brother Joseph Hardigree officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wages Funeral Home, Lawrenceville Chapel, Lawrenceville, is in charge of arrangements.

To You, O Lord, we humbly entrust this child, so precious in Your sight. Take him into Your arms and welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
