STONE MOUNTAIN – John F. Bruce, 88, died Friday, May 29, 2009.
He retired from Marta in 1982, with 40 years of service, and was a member of the E A Minor Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia J. Bruce; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Rebecca Bruce, Stone Mountain, and Charles and Terri Bruce, Flowery Branch; brother, Ted Bruce, Winder; five grandchildren; two great-grandchilden; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 30, at Horis Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Shumate officiating.

Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Stone Mountain Chapel, Stone Mountain, was in charge of arrangements.
