Benjamin Holloway

Benjamin Carson Holloway, 86, of Comer, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at his residence.

He was born on September 21, 1921, the son of the late Ben and Florence Smith Holloway. He was a mechanic and farmer and was a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church. Mr. Holloway was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Mae Bridges Holloway, Comer; a son, David Holloway, Comer; daughters, Patsy Bruce and Diane Aycock, both of Comer; brother, Charlie Holloway, Danielsville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 20, at the Bluestone Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
