WINDER – Harold R. Mobley, 84, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
A lifelong resident of Barrow County, he was the son of the late Earl and Euther Harrison Mobley. He was a member of the Winder First United Methodist Church, was a retiree of Barrow Manufacturing Company with 50 years of service, and was a United States Navy veteran. Mr. Mobley was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Griffeth Mobley in 2000.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Robert McCain, Winder, Denise and Neill Fuller, Columbus; grandchildren and spouses, Todd and Patty Jo McCain, Lisa and Jason Hester, all of Winder, Will Fuller and Lauren Fuller, both of Columbus; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Tippens officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
