DANIELSVILLE – Ruth Cecilia Hebert Wardlow, 84, died Saturday, May 23, 2009.
Born on February 1, 1926, in Stowell, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Lucien Hebert and Eva Seymour. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Searcy, Ark., and graduated in 1944 as salutatorian at Winnie-Stowell High School in Chambers Co., Texas. Mrs. Wardlow was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Donald Wardlow; and siblings, Emmett Hebert and Ellison Hebert, Velma Russum, Lois Shane, and Betty Flickinger.
Survivors include children, Sandra W. Prince, Danielsville, and Dale M. Wardlow, Searcy, Ark.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Viola Broussard, High Island, Texas, and Joyce Jarvis, Marshall, Texas.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 26, at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens.
Bridges Funeral Home, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
