MAYSVILLE – Obe Richard “O.R.” Cochran, 86, died Friday, May 22, 2009, at BJC Medical Center in Commerce.
Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Obe and Rilla Pritchett Cochran. He was retired from the City of Commerce Water Plant as a supervisor, was of the Baptist denomination, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Hardy Cochran, Maysville; sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Lisa Cochran, Commerce, and Rusty and Kim Cochran, Maysville; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Bobby Tolbert, Commerce; sisters, Faye Kennedy, Cornelia, and Louise Davidson, Maysville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 25, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Swayne Cochran officiating. Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
