ATHENS – Willie Grace Davis, 84, died Friday, May 22, 2009, at the University Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Thomas and Etheleen Parr Mealor. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Bernice Eric Davis; brothers, Horace, Stewart, Hoyt Franklin, Ralph and Bobby Mealor; and a sister, Lucille Cody. She was retired from Westclock.
Survivors include a brother, Mac Mealor, Athens; sisters, Dorothy Hill, Royston, and Ruth Bolton, Maysville.
Graveside services were held Monday, May 25, at Riverside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jessie Mealor officiating.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
