LULA – Elizabeth M. “Cotton” Sisk, 84, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, following an extended illness.
Born on January 27, 1925, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Nando and Lizzie Westbrook Cotton and was the last of 15 children. She lived in Hall County for 51 years and retired from Leece-Neville with 28 years of service. Mrs. Sisk was preceded in death by her husband, William Sisk; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Vanissa and Donald Carver, Flowery Branch, and Bonnie and Grady Smith, Lula; sons and daughters-in-law, Clayton and Pam Sisk and Randy and Alisa Sisk, all of Gainesville, Scottye and Pat Sisk, Flowery Branch; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Revs. David Matthews and Hugh Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, May 22, from 6 to 9 p.m.
