COMMERCE – Barnard Rogers Edwards, 72, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at BJC Hospital in Commerce.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Neri and Addie Belle Dorsey Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Haley Edwards, Commerce; sons, Roger and Rodney Edwards, both of Commerce; daughters, Teresa Edwards, Nicholson, and Terri Edwards, Commerce; brothers, Billy Edwards, Danielsville, and Bobby Edwards, Ila; sisters, Mary Alice Floyd, Danielsville, and Betty Joe McKinney, Trenton, N.C.; grandchildren, Tyler Stone, Christian Edwards, Madison Sewell, Austin Edwards, RJ Edwards, Ammarae Edwards, Rilee Edwards and Tate Edwards.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, at 11 a.m., at the Macedonia Holiness Church in Madison County with the Revs. Kendall Callaway and Ardis Anglin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Rodney Edwards, 224 Beagle Trail, Commerce and at the funeral home Friday, May 22, from 6 to 9 p.m.
