SHARPSBURG – Austin Massey, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009.
He was a 2007 graduate of Northgate High School and attended the University of West Georgia, Carrollton.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Bonnie and Cary Chester, Sharpsburg; father, James (Jim) Massey, Loganville; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Mike Crawford; nieces and nephews, Chase, Mason, Morgan and Marleigh Crawford, all of Nicholson; grandparents, Wesley and Jean Sheffield, Greenville, S.C., James and Sue Massey, Lawrenceville, and Frank and Martha Chester, Palmetto; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23, at Ramah First Baptist Church, Palmetto, with Dr. Jimmy Orr and the Revs. Jeff Williams and Blaine Tarnecki officiating. Burial was in Holly Hill Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers were Austin’s friends from Camp Sunshine.

Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, Fairburn, was in charge of arrangements.
