LEXINGTON-Alice Page Griffith, 85, died May 14, 2009.
Born in Abbeville, S.C, she was the daughter of the late Rueben J. and Eula Belle Mitchell Page and was preceded in death by her former husband, Thomas E. Moon.
Mrs. Griffith was a member of Vineyard Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Joel F. Griffith and Steve J. Griffith, both of Lexington; former husband, Franklin D. Griffith; children, Mary Ann Moon (Julian) McDaniel of Bethlehem, Lucille Moon (Jerry, deceased) Wiles of Anderson, S.C., Particia Moon Howard of Lexington and Janice Moon (Herbert) Harrison of Thomson; brother, the Rev. James G. Page of Comer; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 17, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with the Rev. James G. Page and the Rev. Dave and Anna Gay Newell officiating. Burial was at Athens Memory Gardens. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
