COMER – Charles Bell Jr., 74, died Sunday, May 10, 2009.
A native of Ft. Branch, Ind., he was the son of the late Charles E. and Marie Barrett Bell. He was a retired truck driver for Frito Lay and was a part time deputy sheriff in Orange County, Fla., for nine years.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Gerke Bell, Comer; children, Charles Edwin Bell (Marge), Cleveland, Tenn., Terry Bell (Patricia), Comer, Patricia Cathryn Bell Buckner, Altamonte Springs, Fla., Teresa Diane Bell Olson (Jerome), Colorado Springs, Colo., Donald Bell (Sue Ann), Apopka, Fla., Michael Bell, Gary Bell and Lisa Bell, all of Orlando, Fla., Gilbert Garner, Douglasville, Terry Garner (Tammy), Carrollton, James Garner (Sandy), Burlingame, Kan., Patricia Garner Bell (Terry), Comer; sister, Bonnie Carl, Sidney, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with the Rev. Twyla Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
