Willie Fortson

MONROE, N.C. – Willie Lee Scarborough Fortson, 86, formerly of Madison County, died Thursday, May 7, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel Grady and Martha Patterson Scarborough, and was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Fortson.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Gail Cox; brother, Buddy Scarborough, four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 10, at Bluestone Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews.

Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
