HOSCHTON - Jordan Matthew Bratek, 17, died suddenly on Friday, May 8, 2009.

He was the son of Sherri Bratek-Stoner of Hoschton and the late James W. Bratek and was a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area and a student at Jefferson High School.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include sisters and brother-in-law, Ashleigh Bratek, Ansleigh Bratek, Courtney Bratek, Denise Bratek, Natalie and Chris Pruett, all of Hoschton; grandparents, Joe and Carrie Crump, Suwanee; aunt and uncle, Lorri and Dennis Whitaker, Lawrenceville; nieces and nephews, Caleb Bratek, McKenzie and Joseph Pruett, Ryan and Dustin Gordon.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, at 5 p.m., at the New Community Church in Hoschton with Pastor Chris Hoffman officiating.

Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, is in charge of arrangements.

To Joe and Carrie Crump and the entire Bratek family: I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. My heartfelt sympathies are with you during this difficult time. I also have a son, Jordan (18) and I can not begin to imagine what you are experiencing. Please know that many of us are thinking of you and keeping you and your family close to our hearts.

Jim and I knew Jordan and thought he was a sweet and kind young man.Our sympathies go out to the family and freinds of this young man.Rest in the arms of God, Jordan. You will be missed and never forgotten.

I will miss Jordan. I have known him since I was in Kindergarten. His sister, Courtney and I were always tight. I will forever cherish the moments that I had with Jordan everyday in middle school. Never forgotten and forever missed. Love you Jordan and Bratek Family!!!!

Joe and Carrie Crump and the Bratek family: I had met Jordon about 2 years ago. Joe and Jordon had stoped by the office to say hi. He just recieved his new vehicle. I can still remember the big smile on his face.Being a father I can not imagine the loss. We will continue to keep you in our hearts and prayers.

To the 500 plus people who came to honor my son's memory, a heartfelt thank you. The girls and I have never felt so much love and compassion. By the Grace of God Jordan is skateboarding the golden streets of heaven.

Well I didn't known Jordan that will but he work for kroger I talk mto him a few times. I was a great kid my deepest sympathies goes out to the Jordan Bratek's family and friends. God will watch over him.

i wasent that close to jordan but the little i knew of him.. he was amazing. god needed a angle so he pick jordan. i will miss him,, but god has him now. my sympathies to the bratek family and close friends. stay strong.

I will miss my brother and wish that I had more time to
spend with him. I just had recently got back in touch with
my family.

If there is anyone out that who is fighting with
a sibling or family memeber you have to remember that
tomorrow is not promised and you may not every have another\
chance to say I'm sorry or I love you. So please stop the bulling
and fighting. We have to embrace each other everyday and put
the hatered behind us. I love you guys!!! Jordan I love you
and miss you.

My family had the priveledge of meeting Jordan at Journeys Backyard BBQ on May 2nd. We just learned of his death. I am so terribly sorry to those who knew him and loved him.

He came up to us when watching my son - an 8 year old skater - skating the half-pipe. He was so sweet about my son. Just wanted to shake his hand. That short time spent with Jordan made a lasting impression. I was struck by his infectious personality. I know he will be missed by anyone who knew him.

That friday, he was saying goodbye to everyone at the track thing, but no one really even noticed anything unusual. That friday when i saw him in the hallway on my way back to ms.porter's room.. he looked happy and just.. ugh. my sympathy to his family&friends.RiP Jmb

Hey,i dont even know were to begin with this..I love Jordan so much! He was my best guy friend i had.I love havin the long talks we had with each other.I never forget our last day.Walkin out of Meredith sayin we are seniors and how we are going to live it up..and our last i love you!!i just wish it wasnt our last.Jordan taught me alot out of the two years.I never forget the first day i met him..and all the memories we created..from the different girlfriends n boyfriends..I love you Ms.Sherri and that love will never change! By talkin to you and the family helps me..and idk how much i help you yall but i hope i do in some way! and as soon as i get back from ABAC i will be over..swimming.talkin.just beening Kaleb girlfriend:) im here whenever just call or txt! anytime of the day! and i have some more money that i need 2 get 2 you as soon as possible! love you Rayna the black girl who loves yall deeply

im deeply sorry for what happend we will all miss jordan and keep him in our hearts he seemed lik a great guy and im very sorry...i pray for the bratek family...i go to new community and we pray for him and the bratek family evry week.once agin im relly sorry and we will always remeber what a great guy he was
