WINDER – Bob Cassady, 83, died Sunday, May 10, 2009.
Born in Lewisburg, Ohio, he was the son of the late Herman and Anna Penrod Cassady. He was a former resident of Monticello, Ky., and Beaver Creek, Ohio. He and his wife owned and operated Cassady Wood Specialties in Dayton, Ohio, for 40 years. He was a former General Motors employee and was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Winder First United Methodist Church. Mr. Cassady was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Fender; and son, Gary Eugene Cassady.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Bellamy Cassady, Winder; children, Cheryl Hurr, Winder, Carolyn Sauls, Cedartown, and Larry E. Cassady, Chattanooga, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 12, at 11 a.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery.
