WINTERVILLE – Grady Morgan Esco, 84, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Colbert, he was the son of the late Hal H. and Leight Couch Esco. He was inducted October, 1944, in the United States Army during World War II. He served in France and Germany as a member of the 63rd Division, 254 Reg. K co. 3 BN. After being discharged he began purchasing timber for resale, bought and sold real estate as well as building Providence Village. He attended Grove Chapel Church.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Landrum Esco; a sister, Hazel Graham, Flowery Branch; brothers, Howard Esco and Aubrey Esco, both of Winterville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 4, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Duncan officiating. Burial was at Pentecost Chapel. Pallbearers were James H. Francis, Ronald Brooks, Andy Dawson, Tim Graham, Howard Esco Jr. and William Peterman.
