HULL – Imogene “Jean” Nix died Friday, May 1, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Gordie Lee Coker Jones. She was a member of Heritage Fellowship Church and was a retired inspector from Superior Paints after 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Alton Nix; daughters, Melinda (Jim) Bagwell, Hull, and Judy Frances (Steve) Morris, Comer; grandchildren, Samantha (Jason) Williams, Winder, and Joseph Alton Bagwell, Hull; and a great-grandchild, Taylor Williams.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 3, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Vaughn, Toney Moon and Peggy Holbrooks officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Daniel Nix, Ronnie Nix, Wayne Nix, Joseph Alton Bagwell, Doug Jones and Terry Taylor.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice House.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
