WINDER - Viola Louise Peppers, 79, died Sunday, May 3, 2009.
Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Frances James Richardson. She was a member of Carter Hill Christian Church and had worked at Winder Rug Mill as a weaver. Mrs. Peppers was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Dean Peppers.
Survivors include son, Ricky Dean Peppers, Winder; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Shirley Robinson, Tony and Jackie Richardson, all of Union, S.C.; daughters, Rebecca Peppers, Winder, Carol and Kevin O’Donnell, Bogart, Patricia and Tony Gentry, Winder, and Barbara Childers, Union, S.C.; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Benson; and sister, Shirley Adams, both of Union, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6, at 2 p.m., from Carter Hill Christian Church, with the Revs. Robert Whatley and Ned Davis officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
