WINTERVILLE – Melvin Wesley Beasley, 62, died Monday, May 4, 2009.
Born in Bibb County, he was the son of the late David Robert and Oree Rosser Beasley. He was preceded in death by a son, Darren Wesley Beasley.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Wendy Kent, Tallahassee, Fla., Cindy and Tommy Borders, Crawford; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lisa Beasley, Danielsville; grandchildren, Jared, Leah and Branden Kent, Cara, Cody and Coley Borders, Hunter and Madison Beasley; long time companion, Martha Maloch, Winterville; great-grandson, Kaleb Howington; brothers, Pete Beasley, Alexandria, La., Murray Beasley, Athens; and a sister, Diane Baughcum, Ila.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Sarna and Chaplin Melissa Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5, at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
