COMMERCE – Wilda Harvil, 89, died Friday, May 1, 2009.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Ethel Whitmire Harvil. She had been employed as a secretary with the The Commerce News.
Survivors include cousins, Charles and Carol Whitmire, Bill Whitmire, Joan Sizemore, Mildred Youmans and Mike and Beth Whitmire; and an uncle, John Whitmire.
Graveside services were held Sunday, May 3, at the Oconee Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Carlan officiating.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
