WINDER – Betty S. Campfield, 76ß, died Saturday, May 2, 2009.

Born in Buncombe County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Horace and Lucy Allen Stroupe. She was employed with the Barrow County Farm Bureau for over 20 years. Mrs. Campfield was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Campfield.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Christie Campfield, Flowery Branch.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5, at 11 a.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Brock Burnette officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 6, at 1 p.m. at Piney Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Swannanoa, N.C.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
