DANIELSVILLE – Clarence Hall, 80, died Saturday, April 25, 2009.
A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Thomas Welborn and Sally Ware Hall. He was retired from Barber Coleman Controls after 20 years of service, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. He was a mason for 58 years, a member of the Pipe Fitters Union from 1953 until 1991, and was a former deacon at Danielsville Baptist Church. He was a member of Colbert Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Hall, Robert Hall and George Hall; and a great-grandchild, Rhett Thomas Myers.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bonnie Hall; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Pam Hall; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Tommy Myers, Madison County; sister, Linda Hall, Hartwell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Emily Hall, Lavonia, Graham Hall, Gastonia, N.C.; grandchildren, Jason and Wendy Myers, Madison County, Ashley and Jason Mercer, Oconee County, Matthew Hall, Los Angeles, Calif., and Melissa Hall, Athens; great-grandchildren, Avery Mercer and Austin Mercer, both of Watkinsville, and Kara Grace Myers, Colbert; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 27, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Robert Hall, Tony Hall, Harley Bartlett, Charlie Hall, Jeff Nash and Kerry Nash. Honorary pallbearers were members of Mr. Hall’s Sunday School Class.
