Sharon Gresham

Sharon Forrester Gresham, 64, of Gainesville, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends, following an extended illness.

She was born August 1, 1943, in Hall County, the daughter of the late B.D. Forrester and Hazel Forrester of Lula. Mrs. Gresham was preceded in death by her husband, John (J.T.) Gresham; and brothers, Sandy Forrester and Ricky Forrester. She was Baptist.

Survivors in addition to her mother, include sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Mandy Gresham, Rick and Beverly Gresham, all of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Matt DeLong, Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Charlotte Forrester, Jerry and Jane Forrester, Phil and Vickie Forrester, Ben Forrester, all of Gainesville, Edd Forrester, Lula; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Shirley and John Buffington, Gillsville, Vickie and Hugh Rice, Gainesville; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Forrester, Gainesville; grandson and wife, T.J. and Carlee Gresham, Gainesville; granddaughters, Haley Gresham and Skyler Proctor, both of Gainesville; great-grandson, Gavin Schwartz, Gainesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Lakewood Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Smiley and the Rev. Dean Bryant officiating. Burial will be in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in White County. The family will receive friends Monday, June 23, from 7 to 9 p.m.
