BOGART – Cherry Elaine Bramlett, 61, died Saturday, April 25, 2009.
Born in Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late Homer Madison and Hazel Serina Jackson Long. She was a member of the Church of The Nations in Athens, was a retired nurse, and owned a cleaning business. Mrs. Bramlett was preceded in death by a son, Monty Perry; brother, Ray Long.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Bramlett, Bogart; brothers and sister-in-law, Wayne and Gail Long, Bogart, and Robert Long, Hartwell; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Kenneth Harrison, Charlotte, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 27, at Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Anthony Costa, Larry Dividson, and Pastor Mel Holmes officiating. Burial was at Mount Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Loren Smith Cancer Foundation, Athens Regional Hospital.
