HOMER – James Lee Passmore, 72, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at BJC Hospital in Commerce following an extended illness.
Born on June 6, 1936, in Andrews, N.C., he was the son of the late David and Maude Pendergrass Passmore. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. Mr. Passmore was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda Mae Passmore; daughter, Kathy Passmore; step son, Danny Bennett; grandson, John Passmore; granddaughters, Leigh Anne Passmore and Karen Passmore.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bennett Passmore, Homer; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and James Robinson, Denise and Perry Dodd, Commerce, Sandra and David Bonilla, Homer, Jane Roland and Wanda McIntyre, both of Danielsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Marilyn Passmore,Charles and Joyce Passmore, Kenny Passmore, all of Flowery Branch, Steve and Amy Passmore, Homer, Tommy and Lara Passmore and Bobby and Angela Passmore, all of Danielsville, and Richie and Tracy Passmore, Royston; brother, Joe Passmore, Telco Plains, Tenn.; sisters, Ann Passmore, Mary Lou Carter, Sandra Passmore, all of Monroe; 40 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Revs. Duane Eller and Don McLain officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 23, from 3 to 9 p.m., and Friday, April 24, all day at the funeral home.
