AUBURN – Stephen “Chris” Phillips Sr., 52, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born in Dade County, Fla., he was the son of Lewis Phillips of Jefferson and Mary Crook of Tucker. He lived in the metro Atlanta area for the past 20 years and was employed with Hog Mountain Animal Hospital. He was a loving husband and father loved ones stated.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Tammi Phillips, Auburn; children, Stephen and Jessica Phillips, Lawrenceville, Jennifer Phillips, Athens; brothers and sister-in-law, Allen and Paula Phillips, North Carolina, and Patrick Phillips, Jefferson; sister, Elizabeth Crook, Tucker; step sister, Lucretia Roberts, Auburn; nieces, Shanna Mayo, Atlanta, A’Lynn Phillips, Tucker, Kaelyn Phillips, Jefferson.
Memorial services were held Sunday, April 19, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Earl Pirkle officiating.
