JEFFERSON – Gary D. Lee, 57, died Thursday, April 9, 2009.
He was the son of Erlene, and the late James E. Lee. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force and retired in 1993. He then answered the call of the Lord and served as a pastor for over 15 years. At the time of his death, he was serving as pastor of First Baptist Church Rota, Spain. He was a longtime faculty member of Masters International School of Divinity, Evansville, Ind. He is remembered for the love of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his wife, sons and their families, and this great country, loved ones added.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Debbie, Jefferson; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Megan, Breckenridge, Colo., Joshua and Becky, Fort Wainwright, Ark., Jeremiah, Jefferson; and grandchildren, Maizie, Taylor, Junie, Preston, Zoey and Justus; and sisters, Valerie and Kelly.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 20, in the chapel of Evans Funeral home. Burial was in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, with full military honors.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
