Gary Cook

COLBERT – Gary Ray Cook, 50, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at his residence.

Born in Fort Benning, he was the son of Clifford Clyde Cook, step son to Patricia Cook, and son of the late Leopoldine Koppel Cook. He was a member of Colbert Baptist Church. He was a very caring, giving and generous person, and loved fishing, loved ones stated.

In addition to his father and step mother, survivors include a sister, Victoria Lea Kittle, Hull; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford Ronny (Susan Duncan) Cook, Colbert, Steven Clyde (Karen Marie Maynard) Cook, Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter, Jamie Hicks, Watkinsville; and longtime companion, Janice Cook, Nicholson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 21, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating. Burial was at Colbert Cemetery.
