WINDER – Frances Pierce Barr, 80, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Welton and Leila Jones, and was retired from R & R Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Barr was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Emmett.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Dottie Emmett, Winder, Dinah and Wayne Bell, Statham; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Betty Pierce, Gainesville, and Ricky and Janice Pierce, Winder; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren, with three great-grandchildren on the way.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, April 17, at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
