Johnnie McDaniel

BETHLEHEM – Johnnie S. McDaniel, 83, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

Born in Walton County, she was the daughter of the late George and Effie Phillips Shoemake. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Carwood Manufacturing with 32 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Leon McDaniel, Bethlehem; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and David Rutledge, Bethlehem; grandchildren, Clark and Julia Rutledge, Watkinsville, Patrick and Abby Rutledge, Jefferson; brother, Mahlon Shoemake, Bethlehem; sisters, Ossie Walls and Ollie Walls, both of Bethlehem; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, at 11 a.m., at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Ray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
