Betty Sims

BETHLEHEM – Betty Sue Sims, 72, died Monday, April 13, 2009.

Born in Walton County, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Jewell Boswell Worley. She was retired from Empire Manufacturing Company and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by a daughter, Jenny Ruth Sims; and brother, John D. Worley Sr. She was an avid dog lover, loved ones stated.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Sims, Bethlehem; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Donna Sims, Statham, Chuck and Jennifer Sims, Commerce; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Sims, Winder, Sheryl and Trawick Brady, Cornelia, and Melanie and Chris McDaniel, Jefferson; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vicki Bennett-Stow, Oakwood.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, at 4 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Entombment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
