COMMERCE – Daniel Martin, 72, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Wayne County, Mich., he was the son of the late Dan D. and Marry Dani Martin. He was a member of the Protestant faith and graduated from Lowry High School in Dearborn, Mich. He was retired as road commissioner from Wayne County, Mich. in 1973 and retired from Pinellas County Parks Department as a parks supervisor in 1998. He served in the United States Army during the Korean war as a medical corpsman.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Hull Martin, Commerce; daughter, Denise L. Minter, Minnesota; sons, Daniel J. Martin and Dean A. Martin, both of Florida; brothers, James M., Harry J. and Patrick Martin, all of Florida; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with David Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday, and also at the residence immediately following the service.
The family respectfully asks that all flowers be omitted.
