DANIELSVILLE – William Neal Allen, 88, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late William T. and Erma Lou Rowe Allen. He was a member of Moon’s Grove Baptist Church, was a farmer and carpenter, and was a veteran having served during World War II. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Shaw Allen; and second wife, JoAnn Shaw Allen.
Survivors include daughters, Cheryl Allen (Lanier) Simmons, Debi Shaw; son, Brad (Michelle) Shaw; sisters, Catherine Sorrow, Marie (Tyson) Jenkins; brother, Grady Allen; grandchildren, Renea Simmons, Alan (Adrienne) Simmons, Ryan Simmons; and great-grandson, Walker Simmons.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 11, at Moon’s Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Tony Lee and Dan Fuller officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Lord & Stephens Funeral home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
